I grew up in a really great family. Mom and Dad who love each other and a sister who is my best friend and the only one in the world who thinks I am funny. I say, she has a great sense of humor!
I knew from the time I was about ten that I wanted to be in Public Relations. Why? Because my favorite soap character was in PR and it seemed so glamorous and exciting! Turned out I was pretty good at it and I landed a great job right out of college that allowed me to travel a ton. I loved it.
Somewhere in the midst of all of that, I met someone who was even more driven than I was … Chad. He showed me how to love selflessly and most importantly that God REALLY, REALLY, loved me. It was clear this guy was different, but I never could have imagined the journey God would take us on together.
We had our first daughter, Morgan after we had been married about 5 years. I remember looking at her several days after she was born and thinking: “Well, there goes my career. There’s no meeting, bonus or position that could replace what I am feeling right now.”
In September of 2009, our sweet little Macy was born. Two days later we put our house up for sale in Toledo and began the journey that would lead us to Columbus to plant a church.
I am totally in love with this city and it has received us well. We’ve built some amazing friendships here.
This blog is a hodge-podge of my life as a wife, mommy, believer, leader, communicator, teacher and friend. Enjoy!
